Biologist, with a master's degree in Conservation Ecology and Wildlife Management and a PhD in Hydraulics and Water Resources. Currently, he is a full professor at the Federal University of Lavras. He works in the areas related to Fish Ecology and Conservation of Aquatic Environments.His research projects include studying the effects of hydroelectric dams on migratory fish fauna, microplastics ecology, and the effects of domestic sewage, deforestation, and major environmental accidents on the flow of matter and energy.
