My research as professor and Canada Research Chair is on boreal and Arctic lakes at northern latitudes. My expertice is on aquatic (zoo)plankton ecology, trophic relationships, pelagic-benthic-terrestrial coupling, biogeochemistry, lipids, fatty acids, stable isotopes, paleolimnology, pigments and winter ecology.
